Before venturing into a new marketing campaign ask yourself this: is my website up for it? If it’s been awhile since your site has been updated, the answer may be no. To help understand how well a website is working we use tools like Google analytics, and look at the bounce rate. The bounce rate helps us understand if you pages are delivering the right message and look to the client. A bounce occurs when a visitor enters your site and then hits the back button and leaves, without ever moving into your site and looking around. If your sites bounce rate is above 50% you’ll need to take a closer look at your pages and your sales message, but if your bounce rate is higher…like 70 or 80% it’s time for a new design. Simply put, old looking sites often have very high bounce rates.

Spending big money on marketing only to have the potential buyer take one look at your site a leave, is wasted money. Give Madwire Media a call. We’ll breakdown the flow of client page view and help design better paths to sales conversions, lowering bounce rates and increasing sales.

There are hundreds of thousands of website templates out there. Most of them are cheap and look cheap, but some actually look pretty nice. However, even the templates that look nice have their limits. Templates lack customization…sure they allow you to place your own graphics, but without a professional to create the graphics the graphics will have the look of low quality and pull down the integrity of the site. Plus, templates limit the usage of custom programming, search engine optimization, and customer support needed to build a quality web presence.

The moral of the story is don’t waste money on a one-size-fits-all template, hire a professional custom web design and search engine optimization (seo) company and build you business/website right from the start.
