Professional Denver SEO & Web Design Tip 44
Every web business should be tracking the number of conversions or leads they receive per month from their website and comparing that number with the number of new visitors to their website that month (the number of new visitors can be seen on your monthly analytics report). By dividing the conversions into the new visitors you’ll come up with: conversions to new visitor ratio (CTV), which is very import to know.
The CTV is like MPG is to cars, it tells us how efficient your website design is at generating leads and sales. If a CTV is say 1/8 we know that the design and marketing campaigns are working in unison and the result is a lower and more relevant lead cost. However, we see many websites with a CTV as high as 1/40 and even 1/67 or more. A site with a CTV of 1/40 means that it will receive 4 less leads for every 40 visitors, compared to the site with a CTV of 1/8. That’s a big difference.
Not all designers or web design companies understand marketing. In fact, few really understand the importance of understanding the targeted market dynamics of your business. Give Madwire a call.
