It's time for smarter, inbound marketing

Are your sales down? You’re not alone.  On average, I hear most companies claiming sales drops of 40% since this mother of all recessions began.  There are some good things that come from down periods, one of them being a reexamining of your marketing efforts.  John Madden once said, “winning is the best deodorant.”   When times are good we often over look poor performing campaigns or products, everyone’s busy, time is short, and it’s just easier to keep the statuesque.  But when sales slow, in times like these, we’re forced to take a closer look at all area’s of our business and a key area is marketing.  The first item needed a closer look is your website.  When was the last time the site was updated?  Like any form of marketing, your website should be updated from time to time to reflect changing times and technology.  A site from 2002 may still have all to correct product descriptions but if it looks outdate potential buyers will often over look it, instead, favoring sites with a hipper look.  A fresh web design is often less expensive than a re-designed company brochure and yet the return on investment will be much higher for the website.  How about your sites search engine optimization.  Is it setup for local search like Loveland SEO, or Fort Collins SEO?  Maybe you’re looking for a regional marketing like Denver SEO or Coloraco SEO, whatever the case, your site need to be optimized to take advantage of free search.
