Stop SOPA Now!
My Name is Joe Bramer. I am the IT Director for Madwire Media, and I wanted to take a moment to talk about SOPA.
Madwire Media is a core of business innovation; an enabler of creative stores that sell amazing products and services. We live on the internet each day, and as a large startup company, we are connected at the hip with the latest innovative technology that the internet has to offer.
You may have noticed that some of your favorite websites have been shut down for the day. SOPA Blackout Day has caused quite a stir on social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter. People are making a huge outcry.
SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) threatens to destroy the framework of the internet. Think of this framework as a phonebook called DNS. This system translates a complicated number (known as an IP address) into an easy-to-remember name. The SOPA bill would force sites to be torn out of this phonebook, never to be heard from again. Sites we use every day (whether directly or indirectly) such as Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and many more are on the chopping block. The ones who hold the knife are in high levels of government.
We at Madwire Media try to stay out of politics. However, this is an issue that must be addressed for the better of any company that conducts business on the internet, not just ours. Regulation of the internet as it is suggested in SOPA infringes on our First Amendment rights. Furthermore, SOPA and PIPA threaten the livelihood of Madwire Media, our partners, and our clients.
Join us in fighting SOPA and PIPA (Protect IP Act). We invite you to read the bills and both sides before you make your conclusion on where you stand on it. We need to make our voices heard, so call your Senator and let him or her know that you do not support SOPA or PIPA.

Madwire Media and the Colorado Ice Indoor Football Team announce New Strategic Partnership
Loveland, Colorado November 9, 2011—Loveland web design and internet marketing firm Madwire Media and the Colorado Ice Indoor Football team are proud and excited to announce a multi-year partnership. This month, we are raising money for Healing Wings For Tim Galloway, an organization that is raising funds to support a local Loveland resident and Fronteir flight attendant who is battling a very aggressive form of thyroid cancer that doctors say is incurable. We’re Expanding!
It is probably not surprising to hear that we have out grown our current building, and for those who are local, you have probably seen the construction of our new building just to the southwest of where we are now. We are extremely excited about our expansion and all of us here can not wait to see the finished building. Nisolo’s New Website
We recently launched a new BigCommerce template website for socially and environmentally friendly company, Nisolo. Nisolo makes it their mission to produce quality hand made products from various communities while supporting important causes. They believe that an even balance between cause and products is essential to their business, and we wanted to give them a website design that captured their values. The new site is interesting and inspirational with a clean and simple design. We used earthy colors to give this site a sense of quality and elegance. Now that the site is live, we will be starting an internet marketing campaign for Nisolo to help them get their name and cause out there.
